Weekend Sun

Wonky Donkey at Baypark

Worldwide number one bestselling author Craig Smith, aka the ‘Wonky Donkey Man’ will be performing at Trustpower Arena these school holidays!

Craig will be performing lovable tunes from his collection of bestselling books, which include The Wonky Donkey, The Dinky Donkey, My Daddy Ate an Apple, Willbee the Bumblebee, Kaha the Kea and The Scariest Thing in the Garden.

Craig is one of New Zealand’s most successful children’s entertainers and authors. His interactive family friendly show will be packed with singing, dancing, and a whole bunch of laughs.

Craig will also perform songs from his new book, the Grinny Granny Donkey. The book was written in honour of the Scottish granny whose video of her reading the Wonky Donkey in fits of laughter to her grandson became a viral sensation with more than 300 million views in 2018.

“Tickets start at $8 per child and family pass are only $25,” says Bay Venues programmes manager Shane Gillum.

“It’s a great, low-cost activity for the school holidays.”

There are two show sessions on Thursday, January 28, one at 11am and the other at 2pm.

Shows run for 50 minutes and following the 2pm show there will be Tumble Time equipment set up for kids to enjoy for another $4 per child. For more info and to purchase your tickets visit: www.bayactive.co.nz
